Drinks with Links South 2022

June 6, 2022

As we gathered at Highdown Vineyard, we were so excited for the evening ahead. With a full guest list, and a whole evening schedule planned, we couldn't wait for what was to come. We haven't been able to host a Drinks with Links event since 2019 and so we knew that all being together again would be extra special, and it was.

The evening started with wine and elderflower being poured for each guest, as well as live music performed by William and a chance to chat with each other. This was followed by a presentation from Joe. He shared a bit about the heart of Links, our mission and our vision. He spoke about our amazing founders, Norman and Grace, and where Links had begun many years ago. We heard from Sam, our African Region Coordinator, about the Links Africa office. Joe also talked through our new rebrand, showcased the work of our amazing business partners Bunches, and ended by sharing more information on Act4You.

After this, we enjoyed an amazing cheeseboard and drinks from the bar, whilst spending time in conversation with each other and listening to more live music. It was a chance to meet new people and build on existing relationships.

We then heard from our amazing sponsors, Ben and Emma from Cameron James Legal. They spoke with us about legacy giving and how we can get involved with this. Ann then shared with us about trip opportunities and we interviewed some of our trip volunteers. It was wonderful to hear about their trip experiences and highlights. Amy chatted to us about fundraising events coming up and how to get involved, and we ended the evening with a prize draw for a luxury pamper gift set.

It was an amazing night, celebrating all that Links is and all that we want to become. It was great to share the evening together with our supporters.

A huge thank you to...
Cameron James Legal for their generosity and for sponsoring our event.
Highdown Vineyard for providing the beautiful venue, great service and the delicious food and drinks.
William for providing the music for the evening and creating a relaxed atmosphere.
Miriam from Temple Spa for kindly donating a Temple Spa gift set as a prize.
Those who came along to share the experience with us!

Our next event is in September in Nottingham. We can't wait!

Partnering with the Local Church for Global Impact

July 1, 2026

Every so often, we get a moment to step back and join with close friends and partners to see the bigger story we’re part of. Links Sundays with our Church partners is one of those moments. It reminds us that mission isn’t something a few specialists do 'over there', it’s the calling of the whole Church, the whole people of God, joining His work of restoring shalom on earth as in Heaven.
