Emergency Appeal for Venezuela

Last week’s devastating earthquakes in Venezuela have left communities shattered, homes destroyed, families displaced and entire neighbourhoods struggling to find safety, shelter and hope. For us at Links, this tragedy is deeply personal. Some of our friends and partners have lost loved ones, while others are facing severe damage to their homes and communities. Their grief is real and their courage has been extraordinary.

In response, we are launching an Emergency Appeal for Venezuela. Working through trusted partners and churches in both Colombia and Venezuela, we aim to begin by supporting the areas where the needs are greatest, providing essential aid, relief and practical help to those who are suffering most. As the situation stabilises, we will also look ahead to how best we can support long‑term rehabilitation, rebuilding and recovery.

In the midst of unimaginable loss, the spirit of the Venezuelan people shines with remarkable strength. They are holding on to hope, rescuing neighbours, caring for the vulnerable and trusting in God’s goodness even while surrounded by devastation. Their resilience is humbling. Their faith is deeply inspiring.
