‍This year, Links celebrates 40 years of mission, partnership, and transformation - a ruby anniversary. Rubies symbolise enduring affection, but they also represent passion, influence and vigilance. These aren’t just poetic ideals - they’re the essence of our journey. From humble beginnings to a global footprint, Links has grown through faithful relationships, courageous action and a commitment to holistic mission. As we mark this milestone, we invite you to reflect with us, celebrate with us and step forward with us into the next chapter.

Passion has fuelled our calling - to hear and respond to the cry of the poor. It’s what led us into disaster zones, remote villages and urban slums. It’s what keeps us listening, learning, and loving.

Influence has shaped our approach - not through dominance, but through partnership. We’ve walked alongside local leaders, equipping them to serve their own communities with dignity and vision. Our influence is not measured in numbers, but in lives changed and leaders empowered.

Vigilance has kept us alert and responsive. Whether facing sudden crises or slow-burning injustice, we’ve remained ready to act with compassion and courage. These virtues - passion, influence, vigilance - are the heartbeat of Links.‍

Links – 40 Years of Faith in Action ‍

For four decades, Links has championed a missiology of shalom - peace, justice and wholeness. We’ve trained health workers, supported micro-enterprise, delivered aid and strengthened churches. But more than that, we’ve invested in people. We’ve seen local heroes rise - leaders who now train others, just as they were trained. We’ve heard testimonies like:

“Links equipped us to serve our own people.” “They walked with us - in hope and crisis.” “Now we train others, the way they trained us.”‍

These voices echo across continents, reminding us that transformation is never one-directional. It’s shared, multiplied and sustained through relationship.

In Scripture, the number 40 marks seasons of preparation, testing and completion. The Israelites wandered for 40 years before entering the Promised Land. Jesus fasted for 40 days before beginning His public ministry. A baby forms in the womb over 40 weeks before birth. This anniversary isn’t just a celebration of what has been - it’s a birthing and a commissioning for what is to come. God has prepared us for a new season. We’re building on legacy - but we’re also stepping boldly into promise.‍
