A Message From Our Founder

Wow! Who could have believed all that has been accomplished since my first trip to Ghana in 1979 and the establishment of the trust in 1985? In that time we have been involved with over 85 countries around the world and literally hundreds of thousands of lives have been transformed.
I am so proud of the way in which we have adapted and changed but have always maintained our core values. These were to listen to the cry of the poor, serve the church around the world and practice that together we can make a difference.
Over the years we have sent teams comprising of women, young people and businessmen. We have acted as consultants to churches by sending their missionaries and developing mission strategy. We have helped to plant churches, set up thousands of micro-enterprise projects, taught and established healthcare programmes, trained leaders, provided clean water for thousands of people, developed agricultural projects and so much more. All this has been done by a small team, today working out of a converted garage!
I am so excited about the new centre we have in Kenya managed by Sam Walker which I believe in the future will be a centre of excellence for the continent of Africa. It will showcase what can be done with minimal resources and how to become self-supporting. There is always more that can be done so I invite you to partner with us in this amazing journey of transformation.
In closing I want to honour those who have made the journey with us the late Richard Hubbard who followed on after me. Andy Read now retired and brought us into the 21st century and Joe Gisbey our current CEO of whom I am so proud, taking us into new territory. I am both thankful for the past, blessed by the present and excited about the future. Thank you for standing with us.

Norman and Pat's Trip to Kenya

Norman and Pat have just visited the Links Africa Hub in Kenya! Norman's first trip to Kenya was in 1994, when he spoke at a conference organised by Brenda Marshall and Peacemakers just outside Embu. He tells us all about what it was like returning 32 years later.

The Hand Up Appeal: From Crisis Response to Lasting Transformation

Over recent months, our partners have been responding to a number of devastating crises around the world, including earthquakes in Venezuela and Colombia, flooding in Pakistan, and severe flooding and landslides in Nepal. While emergency support provides a vital lifeline, lasting transformation comes when people are given opportunities to rebuild livelihoods, generate income and restore dignity.

Walking 100km for India - From Vigo to Santiago Spain

This October, our amazing supporter and fundraiser Nick will be taking on a challenge that will push him well beyond his comfort zone - walking 100km from Vigo to Santiago de Compostela along the Camino de Santiago. He will be raising money for New Life Ministry in Shillong, India.
