Solar Powered Clean Water
The month began with a partner project visit to review progress on a newly funded solar water system with our partner Joy Counselling. This project has already served the community for years, but the new solar technology will expand the number of households benefitting from affordable clean water. By reducing electricity costs, more income from subsidised water sales can go back into the community. The solar pumping system will also support crop irrigation, strengthening food security.
Links USA Visit
Our hub in Kenya seems to welcome guests monthly, and this time we were blessed to host Jason Bollinger, Links USA CEO. Together with Sam and the hub team, Jason led timely training with community leaders on mental health. Rural communities face significant trauma, and understanding the factors behind mental health challenges can save lives. Leaders left equipped to open up discussions in their groups and bring hope to those they serve.

New MED Borrowers
In coastal Kenya, a new MED committee through our partner Love Your Neighbour has already distributed 11 loans in its first cycle, with some fully repaid. Sam visited three women borrowers who expanded their shops and stock, increasing income to support their families.

Unity in Team Time
Our hub team has faced challenges but continues to serve faithfully. A team‑building day gave space to have fun, encourage one another, and step outside comfort zones. Unity and rest are vital - we cannot pour out from an empty cup.

Summer is a season for bringing people together. Whether it's sharing coffee in the garden, baking with the family or clearing out the garage, the simple things often create the biggest opportunities to make a difference.
