Happy 30th Anniversary IMC!

Nestled up in the mountains of El Rosal, on the outskirts of Bogota DC, sits the stunning Granja Peniel, which for many years was the farm that operated as a base and home for the rescued children of IMC (In Ministry To Children). Peniel is the Hebrew word that translates ‘Face of God’ and it is an incredibly apt name, as in the same way that Jacob found transformation and freedom in the place called Peniel, (see Genesis chapter 32) this has been the place that countless hundreds of children’s lives have been transformed!

As many of you will be aware Links has worked with this great organisation really from its inception 30 years ago. IMC’s work has grown to include several different regions in Colombia, but always with the focus of helping children who have either been left orphaned or abandoned or at high risk. IMC looks after these children and supports their families with holistic long term sustainable solutions that brings real and lasting change. Over the years Links have had the privilege of standing with IMC, investing in programmes and projects, carrying out training and seeing remarkable changes in the lives of the children and communities that they work with throughout Colombia. During our recent visit to Colombia, it was a great honour to be able to celebrate IMC’s 30^th Anniversary at Granja Peniel surrounded by the beautiful, picturesque mountains. Together we enjoyed great food (all locally produced), fun and laughter, alongside heartfelt times of prayer and worship, in awe of all that God has done over the years. It was deeply moving to hear from both the team, supporters, and especially those who had grown up having been rescued from the streets, now with their own beautiful families, successful businesses, thriving ministries and giving back into the work of IMC.
