London Marathon

September 29, 2022

At Links, we are so thankful for the amazing fundraisers who take part in events and challenges for us. The biggest event that we currently have allocated spaces for is the London Marathon and every year we are in awe of those who take on the challenge!

This year we have Rowena and Tim running for us. They have both been working so hard on their training and their fundraising and we are so excited to cheer them on all the way to the finish line! Tim and Rowena, you are both amazing - thank you for running for Links!

Please consider encouraging them by donating to their giving pages. All money raised will be going directly to changing lives.

Here's what they have to say about the upcoming event:
First London Marathon: Yes
Target Time: 4 hours
Fundraising Goal: £1,000 +
Why Links? Links do some fantastic work and it's great to be able to support a local charity.
What are you most excited about? The atmosphere of London meeting new people and completing the course.

First London Marathon? Yes. I have run other marathons including Beachy Head and Brighton.
Target time: Well, to be honest, I would love 4 hours - but lots of pesky injuries this year and Covid in July means probably 4.30.
Fundraising goal: As much as possible but minimum £1,000.
Why Links? I love the aims of Links, I love that Links are local but with huge aspirations. Lovely people too!
What are you most excited about? I hear it's the best marathon in the world. Fantastic atmosphere. And if it all turns to custard, there is easy rail links back to Sussex! Iconic course. Can't wait - until I have finished!
