In eastern Kenya, a village community has been experiencing the practical outworking of the Good News since 2017. Nestled in the interior of Kilifi County’s coastal region, an organisation called Love Your Neighbour - one of Links’ Act4You clients - is sharing the Kingdom of God through hands-on projects such as livestock rearing, vocational training, women’s empowerment, and disability awareness initiatives.
In August, Sam, our Africa Region Director, together with Isaac from our Links Africa Hub, visited Love Your Neighbour to lead practical training in agriculture, first aid, and disability empowerment. As the organisation continues to grow, it plans to establish a model and training farm where people can learn sustainable farming techniques. Staff and volunteers were encouraged to see how easily they could improve local soils through organic thermal composting. In this region, the soil is sandy and degraded; with renewal efforts and consistent irrigation, the land will be well-suited for growing staple crops and fruit.

Another highlight of the visit was meeting the Inuka MED group as they prepared to launch a loan programme for 10–15 borrowers in the coming months. The group has worked diligently to set up their committee, and we’re eager to see how these loans will impact the poorest in the community.
Loving your neighbour certainly includes praying for them and offering spiritual discipleship - but it also means walking alongside them, meeting practical needs, and helping transform their daily lives. We believe Love Your Neighbour will see even greater community transformation in the years ahead. Please pray for them, and, if you are able, consider supporting their mission.

Recently we had the pleasure of welcoming Anya to Links for her work experience placement. It was fantastic to have her as part of the team and to share with her the work that goes on behind the scenes to support communities around the world.

Every so often, we get a moment to step back and join with close friends and partners to see the bigger story we’re part of. Links Sundays with our Church partners is one of those moments. It reminds us that mission isn’t something a few specialists do 'over there', it’s the calling of the whole Church, the whole people of God, joining His work of restoring shalom on earth as in Heaven.

Every few years the world pauses to watch something extraordinary. Flags wave, anthems rise and nations pour onto the global stage in a celebration of colour, culture and collective hope. The World Cup becomes a glimpse of what happens when tribes, tongues and nations gather around a shared purpose.
