Partnering with the Local Church for Global Impact

July 1, 2026

Every so often, we get a moment to step back and join with close friends and partners to see the bigger story we’re part of. Links Sundays with our Church partners is one of those moments. It reminds us that mission isn’t something a few specialists do 'over there', it’s the calling of the whole Church, the whole people of God, joining His work of restoring shalom on earth as in Heaven. As Jesus said, “As the Father has sent me, I am sending you”, a reminder that every believer, every congregation, every community is invited into God’s global story of healing and hope.

In Scripture, whenever God moves, He gathers people and then sends them. Isaiah encounters the holiness of God and is propelled into mission (Isaiah 6). The early church receives the Spirit in Acts 1:8 and is launched to the ends of the earth. And in Revelation, John lifts our eyes to a greater throne and a global multitude, a vision of every tribe and tongue gathered not by empire, but by love. That is the heartbeat of mission and the heartbeat of Links.

For over 40 years, Links International has been building a global family of churches, like Arun Church (www.arunchurch.com) who believe that worship leads to mission, and mission leads to transformation. We’ve seen it in India, where local leaders are empowering vulnerable families. In Lebanon, where churches are responding to refugee communities with courage and compassion. In Colombia, where children are stepping into education, dignity and hope. In Uganda, where micro‑enterprise and community development are rewriting futures.

These stories don’t happen in isolation. They happen because churches choose to partner to pray, to give, to connect, to walk with communities over the long haul. We are so grateful to Arun and other’s like Arun who are changing lives around the world. Partnerships turn generosity into transformation. They turn compassion into sustainability. They turn worship into impact.

And here’s the beautiful truth: when churches partner globally, something awakens locally too. Congregations rediscover their identity as Kingdom‑bringers. People find purpose not in self‑expression, but in self‑giving. Mission becomes the place where heaven’s pattern breaks into earthly pain, one life, one community, one nation at a time.

If you’re part of a church that longs to step deeper into God’s global mission, we would love to journey with you. Together, we can connect people, confront poverty, and create potential - building a story worth telling and a Kingdom worth giving our lives to.
