Sam Visits the UK and Kenya

February 1, 2023

January is always a time to reconnect in person with the UK Links team, as I return to the UK from Malawi where our current Links Africa Region Office is based. Going from the sticky humid Lilongwe weather to the cold snap of Littlehampton is always a stark contrast. In the UK office we take the opportunity to plan for the year ahead and build stronger working and interpersonal connections as a team. 2023 is going to be pivotal year for the Links Africa Regional Office, as we continue to move forward in the vision of better connecting and supporting our African partners. Continue to pray for us as we are guided by God to serve the most vulnerable on this beautiful continent.

Through our connection with CRED Foundation, I was able to do an online follow-up session on sustainability in projects with their partners around the world. Then later, on the way to Malawi, I met up with Helen Harrison from CRED and one of their partner organisations in Nairobi, Spurgeon’s Childcare, to explore routes to financial sustainability for their school and ministries with the informal settlement area of Kibera.

Connection with our Act4You partners is an additional aspect to what Links does: offering advice and consultancy on a range of organisational and ministry issues. I visited our long-standing Act4You client, Peacemakers, in Embu County, Kenya, to continue guiding and supporting them through a season of transition of their community projects and resource centre.

Join us in praying for our ongoing connections around the world, as we act together to connect with God in building His Kingdom now.

Moringa – The Gift That Keeps Giving!

April 1, 2026

In Malawi over a decade ago, in a small rural community, Links took a chance on what many thought was just a fad - moringa trees, sensationalised at the time as 'Miracle Trees'.
