In mid-August, a team from Grace Houston went to Nicaragua to work with our partners at The Hope Project, to share the good news of Jesus in and around the community. The team helped build and deliver beds, distribute shoes, food bags, hygiene kits, eyeglasses, and more, as well as visited several houses to pray over families that regularly attend the Hope centres. It is so humbling to get to be on the front lines of taking Good News to the nations.
Links projects matter. The team was able to assemble and build 9 water filter kits for the families that we ministered to. We have provided a steady supply of filters to Nicaragua over the years, and seeing the gratitude on the faces of the people receiving them is something that is hard to describe.
Clean water literally improves lives and, in some cases, saves them.
In addition to the water filters, we were able to provide Links LeaderLink training to several different groups of people, including ministry, business, and community leaders. Jason was able to preach at La Fuente Church, as well as host a leadership training day for the Hope Project team where David, our Central America Coordinator, helped translate and lead sessions as well. David's wife Rebeca also taught a lesson on "Protecting Your Heart" to the Project 185 (anti-trafficking education) teenage girls, while Jason and David led a "Be an Example" session for the boys. Holly was also able to facilitate business training for the church, and several businesses in the community connected to it and the Hope Project on marketing, design, and social media management.

Investing in the potential and capacity of the leaders God has provided builds opportunities that will help people come out of poverty.
We were also able to spend time with our missionary friends Farrell and Raul, and their families as we shared life, truth, and lots of stories of God's faithfulness to them and to the Hope Project over the years. It was a sweet time together and we are already looking forward to going back soon. This Nicaragua trip was powerful, and it was made even better by everyone who helps us provide clean water, leadership training, business development, and share the Gospel of Jesus around the world.
Thank you for helping us do what we do. What a privilege it is to pray, give, and go!

In a rural corner of South Asia, where disability often means isolation, shame or exclusion, a rare and radiant gathering recently took place. Hosted by South Asia Access (an Act4You account) in partnership with Joni and Friends, a U.S.-based Christian non-profit dedicated to serving families affected by disability, the International Family Retreat became a sacred space of rest, restoration and radical belonging.
