Thank You Ashwood Church

July 31, 2024

“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:3-6)
In Links one of our key values is ‘Relationships’. We believe in a deeply relational God who loves to partner with His people, to see His purposes worked out in the world. Even within the mystery of the trinity, God relationally, and preferentially works through each of the ways that He reveals himself to us. Whether through Jesus only doing what He sees the Father doing, to the Spirit revealing the Father and glorifying the Son, to the Father declaring ‘This is my son in whom I am well pleased’. God is a beautiful relationship!

Everything that God does on the Earth, He does firstly through our relationship with Him, then secondly through our relationship with one another. As our name suggests, ‘Links’ began with this core belief that we are in this together and when we join hand in hand to see God’s purposes played out, amazing things are possible! One of the ways that we partner relationally is through key church and corporate partnerships.

This month, our CEO Joe Gisbey, was able to connect with a number of partners, one of which was Ashwood Church in Kirkby in Ashfield where he had the opportunity to share with our good friends there. Ashwood is led by Matt and Claire Bell who have journeyed with us in Links for many years. Some of you will also know that Ashwood is the home church of our Africa Region Director Sam Walker. In recent years Ashwood have partnered with Links specifically supporting amazing partners in Malawi, where they have impacted untold numbers of lives and have brought transformation to many communities. It is such an honour for us in Links to partner with incredible church communities like Ashwood and we are so grateful for their ongoing partnership with us.

We really do believe that we are in it together! If you would like to find out more about how Links can join with your church community to develop your mission vision and strategy, or to simply support you in this essential area of church ministry, we would love to hear from you!
