Venezuela Appeal Update

Thank you so much for the extraordinary generosity shown in response to our Emergency Appeal for Venezuela. In the aftermath of the devastating earthquakes that struck La Guaira, Greater Caracas and surrounding regions, your kindness has enabled us to respond quickly and compassionately alongside trusted partners on the ground.

We are working closely with local churches in Venezuela and Colombia, as well as organisations such as 'Ready, Set, Go', who specialise in sports‑based outreach for children and young people and are close associates of our partners Tabala Suetto in Colombia. Together, we are shaping a coordinated response that provides shelter, essential aid, trauma‑relief support, and safe recreational spaces for families who have endured immense shock and loss.

As we look at the long road ahead, we hold onto the promise of Scripture: “You will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings” (Isaiah 58:12). This captures so much of what your generosity is making possible, helping communities rebuild not only their homes, but also their dignity, stability and hope.

Alongside immediate relief, we are actively exploring how Links can best contribute to long‑term solutions and rehabilitation, including primary and mental healthcare, community rebuilding, and micro business start‑ups to help families recover their livelihoods. We believe God’s heart is for restoration, and we echo His promises, “I will build you up again, and you will be rebuilt” (Jeremiah 31:4).

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and, in due course, hope to visit the work to listen, learn and report back on the impact your support is making.
