We are so thankful for our amazing fundraisers who ran the London Marathon on behalf of Links last month. Our runners have worked tirelessly to prepare and train for the incredible challenge that they completed. And, as well as the huge amount of physical work they have put in, they have worked so hard to raise funds for us at the same time.
We couldn't be more grateful for all they have put into this, and we think each and every one of them is amazing. The money raised is going to make a huge difference around the world.
We will be sending out a more in-depth summary of the marathon soon, so keep a lookout for that. But here are a few quotes from our incredible runners:
"Runners are strange people - we moan about the hills, the rain, the heat, the distance... and then we go back and do it again. Thank you LINKS for your support and for allowing me to run in the London Marathon. I loved every minute!!"
Ian Dickinson
"I wouldn't have had this opportunity if it wasn't for Links Charity, so I will be forever grateful and I will look back on the London Marathon with fond memories. I hope the money raised will go towards providing long-term sustainable solutions and lasting change in the world we live in."
Sarah Jenkins
"Thank you so much for letting me run for the charity - it really was an honour."
Hannah Taylor
"The London Marathon was always a bucket-list event that I have tried to get into a few times with no success, so to finally get to run it was phenomenal."
Matt Jolly
Thank you so much Ian, Sarah, Matt, Hannah and Chloe from all of us at Links!
Have you been inspired to take on the challenge yourself and raise funds for us in the process? If so, email us: hello@links.charity. We would love to chat with you further!

Stepping into Ghana for the very first time felt like walking back into the roots of Links International’s story. It was here, over 40 years ago, that our founders Norman and Grace Barnes first connected with inspiring missionaries and began building the partnerships that would shape Links’ mission.

South Sudan is the world’s newest country, having gained independence from Sudan in 2011. Unfortunately, despite abundant natural resources, it is also the world’s poorest country. Here is an update from our amazing Act4You project, Supporting Child Health in South Sudan.

In Malawi over a decade ago, in a small rural community, Links took a chance on what many thought was just a fad - moringa trees, sensationalised at the time as 'Miracle Trees'. Packed with vitamins and minerals, edible for both humans and livestock, fast‑growing and hardy in hot climates, these trees seemed to have real potential.
