Sam Walker, our Africa Region Coordinator, has headed to our new Links Africa Hub base in Kenya this month.
After living and working in Malawi for about 11 years this is a big move personally, as well as strategically, for Links. Here are some thoughts from 'Walker on the Move':
"Malawi has been another home to me for over a decade, where I've seen the Lord build and sustain me and those I've been in community with. Hearing and walking to that call to follow Jesus, I've often felt His words in real time: 'No one who has left home…for the sake of the Kingdom will fail to receive in this present age a hundred times as much: homes…'. (Mark 10:29-30). It is such a gracious gift to have experienced home in the UK, in Malawi and now, in this new season, in Kenya.
Malawi was home because of the great connections; being alongside our Links' partners for so long they became family to me, and will remain family as Links continues to partner with them. Even now, moving to Kenya in 2024, Jesus' words will still be true there too, because He is already there. Jesus is our ultimate Home; His Kingdom is our community.
I'm excited that our Links' Africa family is going to expand through this new home and hub in Embu and, with the faithful legacy of Peacemakers with us, we can be expectant for God to move and bring more into God's Kingdom and the family."

Stepping into Ghana for the very first time felt like walking back into the roots of Links International’s story. It was here, over 40 years ago, that our founders Norman and Grace Barnes first connected with inspiring missionaries and began building the partnerships that would shape Links’ mission.

South Sudan is the world’s newest country, having gained independence from Sudan in 2011. Unfortunately, despite abundant natural resources, it is also the world’s poorest country. Here is an update from our amazing Act4You project, Supporting Child Health in South Sudan.

In Malawi over a decade ago, in a small rural community, Links took a chance on what many thought was just a fad - moringa trees, sensationalised at the time as 'Miracle Trees'. Packed with vitamins and minerals, edible for both humans and livestock, fast‑growing and hardy in hot climates, these trees seemed to have real potential.
