Connecting the Church Across Continents

Hope Missions Ministries & Ashwood Church
At Links, we love connecting the Church around the world. One of our longest Church Connect partnerships is between Hope Missions Ministries (HMM) in Malawi and Ashwood Church in the UK.
In August, Annie and Francis Mkandawire, founders of HMM, visited the UK and were invited to share their amazing work and bring a word at Ashwood. Their visit was a great reminder of how this partnership continues to grow and strengthen both churches.
The Church Connect has worked particularly well in the areas of education, business and faith leadership. HMM has now planted eight churches and is developing leaders to run them effectively through a training programme that Ashwood teams have contributed to over the years.
Ashwood is planning another team visit to Malawi to support HMM’s new vocational programme and continue leadership development. Annie shared honestly about the long-term impact of this partnership - how its consistency and encouragement have stood alongside the vision God has given them for Malawi.
Ashwood were also deeply blessed by Francis’ encouragement around church planting and God’s provision, especially as the UK church steps into its own season of expansion.
This year, two more UK churches will be travelling to Malawi through Church Connect. Each will come alongside their Links partner to pray, equip and learn together.
