In the wake of the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela and Colombia, we want to express our heartfelt thanks to every supporter, church, partner and donor who has stood with Links during this emergency response. Your generosity, prayers and encouragement have enabled us to work alongside remarkable organisations, reaching families and communities in their darkest moments.
Through our partnerships with Ready, Set, Go and local churches in Venezuela, alongside Corazones y Manos Que Ayuden, GAMI and Tabala Suetto in Colombia, emergency assistance has reached thousands of people affected by the disaster. Together, these teams have provided food, hygiene supplies, emotional support, practical care and spiritual encouragement to families facing immense challenges.
The updates we continue to receive from our partners are both sobering and inspiring. In Colombia alone, more than 1,200 families across Chocó, Cali and Pereira have been supported through the distribution of hygiene kits, food supplies and community outreach. Local churches have played a vital role, caring not only for physical needs but also providing comfort, hope and pastoral support to those affected.

Meanwhile in Venezuela, dedicated volunteers have worked tirelessly in La Guaira and surrounding communities. Search and rescue teams helped save lives and recover victims from collapsed buildings, while local workers continued delivering food, medicines, hydration and practical support. What began as an emergency relief effort has already started to develop into a longer-term community presence, with teams visiting households, identifying needs and building meaningful relationships with families.
One of the most encouraging aspects of this response has been seeing what can happen when we are truly in it together. Volunteers, pastors, aid workers, churches and supporters from around the world have united with extraordinary compassion and determination. Every hygiene kit distributed, every meal served and every family supported has only been possible because people like you chose to pray, give and act.
This response reflects the heart of Links. Together we seek to connect people, confront poverty and create potential, and nowhere has this been more evident than in the partnerships, generosity and practical action demonstrated over the past weeks.
While significant progress has been made, much work remains. Links will continue to monitor the situation closely alongside our partners in both countries. As immediate relief efforts stabilise, we will increasingly look towards rehabilitation and longer-term development, helping families rebuild livelihoods, strengthen communities and create a more hopeful future.
Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for standing with them. Together, we are helping bring hope, healing and practical support to communities as they begin the long journey of recovery.

Summer is a season for bringing people together. Whether it's sharing coffee in the garden, baking with the family or clearing out the garage, the simple things often create the biggest opportunities to make a difference.
