As we look ahead to this year’s London Marathon in April, our hearts are full of gratitude for the four incredible runners who are taking on the challenge to support Links International. Each of them is stepping onto the course not only to test their endurance, but to stand with communities around the world who are experiencing real transformation through their generosity.
We’re also delighted that one of our runners is travelling all the way from Brazil to join the team this year! It’s a beautiful reminder that the Links family truly stretches across continents, united by a shared desire to connect people, confront poverty and create potential, seeing hope, dignity and opportunity flourish in places where it’s needed most. Having run the London Marathon myself many years ago (!), I know what an unforgettable experience awaits them. The early‑morning nerves, the roar of the crowds, the quiet moments of determination and the overwhelming sense of purpose that carries you through - it’s a journey they will remember for the rest of their lives. And knowing they are running for something bigger than themselves makes every mile that much more meaningful.
As Marathon Day approaches, we’d love our supporters to join us in cheering them on. Whether you’re lining the streets of London, following along online or simply holding them in your thoughts and prayers, your encouragement makes a real difference.
You can also support them directly by visiting their fundraising pages (see below). Every donation, large or small, helps strengthen the work we’re doing together in Latin America, Africa, Asia and beyond.

Recently we had the pleasure of welcoming Anya to Links for her work experience placement. It was fantastic to have her as part of the team and to share with her the work that goes on behind the scenes to support communities around the world.

Every so often, we get a moment to step back and join with close friends and partners to see the bigger story we’re part of. Links Sundays with our Church partners is one of those moments. It reminds us that mission isn’t something a few specialists do 'over there', it’s the calling of the whole Church, the whole people of God, joining His work of restoring shalom on earth as in Heaven.

Every few years the world pauses to watch something extraordinary. Flags wave, anthems rise and nations pour onto the global stage in a celebration of colour, culture and collective hope. The World Cup becomes a glimpse of what happens when tribes, tongues and nations gather around a shared purpose.
