At Links, we believe in the collective power of communities coming together to end poverty and create lasting potential around the world. Through partnership, compassion and action, even small efforts can grow into huge impact - uplifted by the enthusiasm and generosity of people like you.
Whether you’re organising a bake sale in your neighbourhood, gathering friends for a sponsored walk or choosing to support our work through a regular donation, your contribution matters.
The Heartbeat of Fundraising: Community Spirit
Fundraising is more than just raising money - it’s a celebration of what we can achieve when we work together. From cake and clothes sales to cinema nights, themed dinners and sponsored challenges, these activities not only generate vital support but also deepen connections and spark conversations about the change we all hope to see in the world.
Imagine a games night with friends, a fancy dress day at work, or a Zumba fundraiser in your local hall - all fun ways to bring people together and raise awareness for global issues. Each event becomes a catalyst for connection, conversation and compassion.
Whether you’ve organised events before or this is your first fundraising idea, know this: no idea is too small and no event is too simple. What counts is the intention - giving with heart and hope.
Sustaining Impact: The Power of Regular Giving
While one-off fundraising activities ignite excitement and community engagement, regular giving builds stability and long-term momentum. When supporters choose to donate on a monthly basis - even small amounts - they partner with charities to sustain life-changing work over time. Regular gifts help organisations plan ahead, fund long-term projects and respond consistently to needs as they arise.
Regular donors become more than contributors - they become companions on the journey toward lasting change. This steady support enables practical solutions, whether it’s education, healthcare, community development or essential services.
Why Your Support Matters
Here’s what you help make possible:
Every act of generosity, whether through a fun community event or a monthly donation, fuels transformation. And the impact isn’t just practical - it’s deeply emotional and relational too.

Stepping into Ghana for the very first time felt like walking back into the roots of Links International’s story. It was here, over 40 years ago, that our founders Norman and Grace Barnes first connected with inspiring missionaries and began building the partnerships that would shape Links’ mission.

In Malawi over a decade ago, in a small rural community, Links took a chance on what many thought was just a fad - moringa trees, sensationalised at the time as 'Miracle Trees'. Packed with vitamins and minerals, edible for both humans and livestock, fast‑growing and hardy in hot climates, these trees seemed to have real potential.
